They say that April showers bring May flowers, but indoors one can enjoy the beauty of blooms year round. In fact, house plants are making a huge comeback in interiors and are listed as one of the top design trends for 2016! Three good reasons for incorporating them into your abode are as follows:

1. Air cleanse – the truth of the matter is plants not only look nice, but are beneficial for your health. Little known fact, but indoor air is typically more polluted than that outdoors! Our interior greenery helps decontaminate it by filtering out VOC’s (= nasties) and are a natural method of purification. No room fresheners required.

2. Lively statement – whether large and stately or small and bright, plant life adds an attractive element to any space. They can tie into a holiday or theme ie a breezy palm for a beach house look, as well as coordinate with colour schemes, acting as a live accent. Gorgeous green specimens will enhance your home. No need to spend a fortune either.

3. Homey factor – ever wonder why those houses in design magazines look so lovely, yet also feel inviting? Well, have a closer look and you’ll see thriving plants are usually an integral part of the setting. They not only add a cozy, I’m ‘home’ feel, but also bring something living to a space. No artificial substitutes need apply!
